Join Jen René and me along with a small and select group of dedicated Asthanga students for a nine month intensive journey into the method we love. This 9 month program is open to anyone with a sincere desire to deepen their practice and further their own personal growth. We invite committed students of the path to apply and participate and acknowledge that this is not appropriate for new or prospective students of yoga or Ashtanga.
- A morning Mysore practice of 4-6x a week – including bi-weekly Sunday and weekly Monday semi-private sessions (125+ hours, Practice and Technique) at Flow Yoga Center.
- One weekend a month (100+ hours, Methodology), September-May (Dates listed below)
- 45+ hours of outside research, readings and other related assignments

Over the span of 9 months, this Intensive is pretty intense! We will include over 400 hours training in methodology, anatomy and physiology, philosophy, chanting, assisting and adjustments, practice and technique – and may include a few surprise guest teachers. Additional Ashtanga Dispatch topics covered will include: Weightless Transitions, The FUNdamentals, Intermediate Series Intro, Backbends, Arm Balances along with Asana Clinics focused on the postures from the Primary Series.

Jen René has been teaching yoga since 2005. Although Jen has dabbled in various styles of asana, Ashtanga always felt like home. In 2008 Jen made an eight month pilgrimage to Mysore, India to study in the presence of her guru Sri K Pattabhi Jois and under the guidance of his grandson, Sharath Jois. This experience enriched not only her teaching and practice, but outlook on life. Today, Jen continues to deepen her both her physical and devotional practice with the revered Tim Miller with whom she recently completed the second series. Jen is eternally grateful for all the teachers who have passed on the authentic teachings of Guruji.
With a master’s degree in psychology and more hours of training than she’d care to add up, Peg Mulqueen has been leading yoga classes and workshops for over a decade. Though she has practiced various styles of yoga, it is within the traditional method of Ashtanga where Peg has made her home. Peg’s primary teacher is certified Ashtanga teacher, David Garrigues, but is grateful for the guiding influence of her Anatomy and Physiology teacher, David Keil and meditation teacher, John Churchill. When not on her mat or leading Mysore at Flow, Peg is a contributing writer for Yoga Journal, Elephant Journal and other publications as well as a more personal blog to inspire others along the path.
This is our second year offering this program – and sadly, Peg’s last year before she moves to Montana to support her husband’s fly fishing addiction.
